Isaac Competing

 

Isaac Doederlein, black belt under Rubens Charles "Cobrinha", has been a notable competitor since his blue belt days, and has earned fans from arond the world, particularly in Europe, where he frequently teaches seminars.  He has been the lead BJJ instructor at Westside Training Center for more than three years.  Isaac is a rare Brazilian Jiu Jitsu talent who is as good of an instructor as he is a competitor.

Saturday's With Isaac

We have a special Saturday drop in rate at Westside Training Center.  Drop-Ins are only $15 for an hour-and-a-half class starting at noon.  Even if you are a member at another academy, if you'd like to experience a different teaching style, feel free to drop in.  The Westside vibe is always welcoming, and we enjoy training with people from different styles and backgrounds.

Kaiyana Rain

Kaiyana Rain is a true mixed martial artist who trains, competes, and teaches:  Boxing, Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and MMA.  Kaiyana teaches Thai Kickboxing on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturdays at Westside Training Center.

One of the unique aspects of Kaiyana's teaching style is that she is very non-dogamatic and open to applying certain techniques/styles from one martial art to another.  Her fight record speaks for itself.  Stop by Westside Traning Center and train with Rain!

William Candelario Westside Training Center

William Candelario has been practicing martial arts for over 30 years.  He is currently the lead Instructor of Shorinji-ryu Renshinkan Karate Do of California, a Reuban Charles "Cobrinha" purple belt, and has a decorated martial arts career.  

His karate highlights include medaling in both the prestigious All Japan Renshinkan Championship as well as in the Pan American Karate Championship under the Olympic system.  In 2012, Sensei Candelario was recognized by the City of Los Angeles and presented with the Teacher of Hope Award for his work with at-risk youth in South Central Los Angeles.

His Brazilian Jiu Jitsu accolatdes include medaling in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World (Mundials) Championships.  William is a consummate martial artist and phenomenal teacher.  He teaches our Toddler's Karate, Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Fundamentals Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes.
